Ecovelocity - Battersea Power Station 8th-11th September 2011

(1/6) > >>

Karl:
Initially we were invited to set up a Sinclair C5 stand at the Ecovelocity event but sadly the financial cost was too high so I declined.

We've now been invited to supply a C5 to take part in the parades held daily over the four days ;

Dear Karl

We spoke a few weeks back.

I would really love for the Sinclair C5 to be driven at the ecovelocity WhatCar? Parade which runs from the 8th-11th September at Battersea Power Station.

The format is as follows:

·         For the duration of ecovelocity (8th-11th September, 10am-6pm) there will be 3 WhatCar? Parades per day every day, lasting no longer than 15 mins.

·         The times of the parade each day are tbc

·         The content will feature all the winning cars from the WhatCar? Green awards (which takes place on the 7th September)it will also feature electric supercars, quirky electric cars, scooters, segways etc.

·         We will have a number of celebrities driving the cars.

·         The parade will be supported by dancers, cheerleaders, music etc creating a real carnival style precession.

·         The show comes to a stand still for the parade and will provide great photo opportunities for the media.

There will be no cost involved.

Would this be something you would be interested in attending?

I've said we'll help out  ;D

If anyone else is local enough to lend a hand let me know .

Karl:
I've now obtained a 3m x 3m display stand at this event and will also be taking part in the parade as mentioned earlier.

Should be quite a nice couple of days out  8)

Tony and Max have offered to help out as it's a four day event, so Angie and I will be looking after our display on the Thursday & Friday, with Max and Tony covering the weekend (..I have to go to work  :'().

I'll be placing half-pint and one other c5 on show, with a few of our display boards - depends on how the weather behaves as I don't want to ruin the pictures.

Might get a few new members on the forum at the end of this...

Jonny:
i'm about as local as you karl so i could probably help out if needed  :). for the parade is it just 1 c5 they're allowing to take part in it or is it any c5s that show up?

Thanks for the offer, they're only after the one c5 for the parade. The stand itself is only 3m x 3m which is the same size as one of my pop-up gazebo's that I use for the car shows we attend. Not a huge amount of space so should be able to fill it quite easily  :).

Let me know for definite which days you may be able to help out as there is a lot of paperwork and some expense involved getting any additional passes.

Jonny:
i can only come down on the saturday i'm afraid as school starts that week  :( let me know if you need any help
