In a few weeks time I'll start compiling some ideas for the c5alive 2012 calendar of events . As with previous years I'd like to see a mixture of a few old favourites combined with some new venues. Also, it would be nice to keep a mixture of "static" display type events, together with traditional "runs" and some "track" type stuff so that there is something of interest to everyone. Having a couple of events that can include family members as well is also important. Take a look through the archives section to see what we've attended so far 8)
I'd like to include the AER at Santa Pod (12th May 2012) and the Brooklands Cycle Festival (September) as these have proved to be very popular , especially as we get to play on the track with our c5's ;D.
New for 2012 I'd like to try and get c5alive included in the Wings & Wheels event (August) at Dunsfold ,home of Top Gear, but there's no guarantee's ! We could also make a return to Ardingly Historic Vehicles event (July) if there is enough interest. This involves camping overnight and the social life on the Saturday evening is superb - not forgetting Scott's BBQ's that are not to be missed :D
I know radioMarty has found the Wickstead Park event to be really good so we could add that to the list, if there are any other events or meetings you want included add your thoughts to this topic :)

I will happily lay on another Royal Run next year in June if people would like to come along again ?
I t could be on the 3rd and if Chas and Angie come along make it a birthday event also or the 10th or 24th.

Looking at a run in Essex ....
Clacton on sea to Holland on sea and back ..
Its about 15 miles round trip all flat and along the edge of the sea on cycle paths.
We will give it a test run in a week or so and report back.

That Clacton run looks good, my first thoughts were that it was a piccie of Bournemouth as it looks so similar ;D

Quite like the sound of the Clacton run. Plenty of ice cream stops along the way ;D
And the Royal Run always seems to go well, what ever the weather :D

Looking forwards to this one,and available to test it out in 2011! LOL. ;D

I will let you know when the test run will be , i have got to take two C5s as my mate doesn't own one, so trying to work out how to transport them, one might have to go on the roof bars. Not to keen on that , but we will see :-[
May be this coming sunday, but depends on my mates work load.

Bristol calling! We have a brilliant cycle track that runs down an old railway track between Bristol and Bath. Beautiful and flat. However I know I'm a bit out of the way for most people.

never say never matie :) Bristol sounds good.
Biggest fly in the ointment for me personally is I'm not allowed any time off between mid July and end of August (due to some fitness freaks running around a new stadium in east London...)
