Hi,

Looks like a gread day out. Great photos. Bad news with the control box, looks like a loose connection.

Hi,
. Bad news with the control box, looks like a loose connection.

Lance

That was my initial thoughts Lance but on further investigation it turned out that the Negative motor power cable was routed over the top of the positive motor connection post - overtime the cable had become eroded and the insulation worn through causing a short out of the motor - worth checking. I always route this cable down and along the pod etc connections but unfortunately as this was brought full restored I hadn't really looked into it - lesson learn't ! Ps the control box was surprisingly not too bad and is now up and running again.

Marty - I must admit to having routed a few cables across the top myself so that is a useful observation. Didn't occur to me that over time the screw thread would chafe through the cable ..

Might be worth putting a new topic in the faults and solutions section so this valuable info isn't lost.

Think I'll give my fleet a quick check over !

Will do Karl - I will knock something up on the routing and the importance of regular checks that they are tight , :)
