CAMO C5 PROJECT
« on: 14, September, 2011 - 16:36:47 »
Well made a start today on a Camo / green Army style C5.  8)

Still a way to go, its just getting the time to to do it  ..  8)

Ran out of paint, so waitng now for a couple more to finnish it off then i will start the electrics.

This is one of the body shells that were offered free on the forum, this one was the better out of the two and although some damage i think it adds to theme of thing ..  ;D

No idea what the wood was for  :o

Rambo First Blood ? I like it Plod, its good to do something different with an bodyshell that otherwise would be no good, keep up the theme, I have thought of a Knight Rider one, just need the time money and space, but intend to get two more C5's yet  :)

That's looking pretty cool. Always good to see something different  :)
I've also got a bodyshell that's waiting to be played with .. although i'm still not completely sure what i'll be doing to it yet.

Hi. On the Land rover what are those 2 box things with a cone on ( above front lights and sat on the wing ), there is also one on a stack behind door ?
Good camo job on c5, looks like another re-birth .M

The great thing is that the more battered it gets, the better it will look!

A knight rider one would be cool as well.

Hi Chas

The one with the serious damage is going to end up as a flower pot, the other one that i am using for the Camo project has danage to the bottom corner of the near side footwell (this seems to be a common place for these to go)

I was intending to patch with some sort of plastic/fibreglass and then reinforce with some aluminium (similar to that used on wings of landrovers) Retro Andys idea  8)

http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/Aluminium-Tread-Chequer-Plate-500mm-x-235mm-x-1-5mm-/270823724324?pt=UK_BOI_Metalworking_Milling_Welding_Metalworking_Supplies_ET&hash=item3f0e5a1524

I was going to put a matching piece in the other footwell and then spray it up black.

John
