battery charger

hello folks i am after an original charger for my c5,cosmetically good and working too. also i am using a halfords 038 type battery with the original key switch but after a full charge i can only do about half a mile and it dies,it was brand new but didnt seem to like being charged with a sinclair charger that used to work on a battery that came with my c5 from adam harper  many thanks  mark

Hi there I think that you will have to use a normal battery charger .Sinclair chargers where made for  the Sinclair battery ...and I don`t think it will  work with a normal battery ...

Are you sure the battery is healthy ? I'd get it properly "drop" tested , there is some useful info on this link;

If the battery checks out as ok then you might even have a faulty charger ? I've converted a couple of Sinclair chargers before to use on my 063 car batteries and they were fine;

Hi Mark,

I have a couple of C5 chargers at the meeting in holland for sale.
You can use it for so-called traction (or semi-traction) battery's.
It is a so called "trickle charger" so it won't be very nice with a car battery.
The original Sinclair battery was a semi traction battery as well.
