My running C5
« on: 20, October, 2011 - 23:22:58 »
Got working, been out every where. Pod was nto working, no bother.  Today very cold, out park in it, AND THE POD STARTS TO WORK! and its locked out power.

So what is wrong? can;t be overheated motor. Will check motot out by direct power. Note the motor load lights flash on pod, with two amber one on all the time, showing lock out.

I think I can by pass the system by connected the motor cut out thermister and pulling out the thermocouple, so it just runs! It had been fine the way i used it, 2o mile range!

Is there a service contact for london?

Check lead going to rear of POD, make sure all pins are really clean, (move it bout abit then switch back on after each wiggle) also open the pod and have a look at the track going to the pins on the underside of the PCB, you may have dry joints or broken tracks going to them pins  8)

Where in London are you ??

Thanks for the advice, lot of tinkering, simpler to get a front motorised 250 w modern lithium outfit? and convert the C5 rear motor to be a generator?

Any kits to this, would keep c5's going and more useable.
