Probably a simple question - powering a stock C5
« on: 08, February, 2011 - 22:25:14 »
Hi
My other C5 has modified cables and quick release terminals.

The new C5 has the stock battery connector/key setup. I brought a battery top of MDonnely today.

Once I connect the battery top, then connect the key part, do  i simply turn the key to make the connection, then the pod lights and off i go? Tonight i was able to connect the top, switch it on, the head/rear lights came on/off, but no pod lights and no power.

I just thought id ask the quick question in the hope of a quick answer. I've seen the posts for checking he box/pod, soldering/multi meter etc, so thats all good. I just wanted to be sure i hadnt dont anything wrong on the very basics.

Cheers,

Karl

You should be able to just turn the key and the pod lights should come up, check the link to Roy's "Sinclairc5.com" site for a copy of the relevant handbook page;

...it might just be a temperamental switch, try squirting some WD40 in there and give it a good wiggle  ;D
