7-8th August 2010 MOSI Transport event
« on: 22, May, 2010 - 21:47:24 »
I've just received this via email;

Hi Karl
I’m organizing the 2010 MOSI Transport Event for 7/8 August 2010 and would be interested in marking the 25th Birthday of the C5.

I have two C5s in the Collections here, one of which was presented by Sir Clive to the Manchester company who developed the tooling for the body shell moulds (incorporating the world biggest single piece injection moulding at the time).

Can you put me in touch with C5 owners in the Manchester/North West area who might be interested in supporting the event here ?

Thanks
Nick

...hopefully some of you guys more local to Manchester will be able to fly the flag for c5alive. I'll be at Warwick the weekend before and then Dorset a little while later...as much as I'd love to go to this I just cant make it  :-[.

Looks like a superb venue;

This museum is really good and well worth a visit - what's more it's all free - we visited with the boy's last year and spent the whole day in the place. As is tradition a photo of Matt with their C5'S :

This event was recently mentioned in The Sun newspaper, so it is getting some publicity.

Anyone from here going along ?

I just had a long conversation with the Curator about car & plane history, and am probably going along Sunday morning.

How do I insert images from my computer without joining one of the photosharing sites?

Probably best if you did use a photosharing site - too many piccies on the c5alive forum would take up too much "room", which means I would have to eventually weed and delete the photo's or buy a bigger chunk of webspace.

I've already had to weed the site a few times.....

Help please . I cannot seem to be able to do this. My photos are on Snapfish now so how do I transfer them to this site? My computer science graduate co-worker doesn't do blogging so cannot assist apparently.http://www3.snapfish.co.uk/snapfishuk/thumbnailshare/AlbumID=3524425006/a=104837615_104837615/otsc=SHR/otsi=SALBlink/COBRAND_NAME=snapfishuk/[/flash]]http://www3.snapfish.co.uk/snapfishuk/thumbnailshare/AlbumID=3524425006/a=104837615_104837615/otsc=SHR/otsi=SALBlink/COBRAND_NAME=snapfishuk/http://www3.snapfish.co.uk/snapfishuk/thumbnailshare/AlbumID=3524425006/a=104837615_104837615/otsc=SHR/otsi=SALBlink/COBRAND_NAME=snapfishuk/[/ftp]]http://www3.snapfish.co.uk/snapfishuk/thumbnailshare/AlbumID=3524425006/a=104837615_104837615/otsc=SHR/otsi=SALBlink/COBRAND_NAME=snapfishuk/[ftp=ftp://http://www3.snapfish.co.uk/snapfishuk/thumbnailshare/AlbumID=3524425006/a=104837615_104837615/otsc=SHR/otsi=SALBlink/COBRAND_NAME=snapfishuk/http://www3.snapfish.co.uk/snapfishuk/thumbnailshare/AlbumID=3524425006/a=104837615_104837615/otsc=SHR/otsi=SALBlink/COBRAND_NAME=snapfishuk/]http://www3.snapfish.co.uk/snapfishuk/thumbnailshare/AlbumID=3524425006/a=104837615_104837615/otsc=SHR/otsi=SALBlink/COBRAND_NAME=snapfishuk/http://www3.snapfish.co.uk/snapfishuk/thumbnailshare/AlbumID=3524425006/a=104837615_104837615/otsc=SHR/otsi=SALBlink/COBRAND_NAME=snapfishuk/[/ftp]

I've never used snapfish, so can't help you there.

Photobucket is my preferred choice, precisely because it is so easy to use;
Using photobucket

1) log into your own photobucket account

2) place your cursor onto the picture you wish to post within the topic on this forum, you will see four options appear

3)  right click & copy the fourth/bottom option (IMG code)

4) paste the link into the posting

Your picture should now feature in the forum posting.

Remember, if you move or delete the picture within your photobucket account then it will automatically be deleted from this forum.

..not sure if snapfish works in a similar way ?
