I went to Driffield steam rally at the weekend in my Allegro and I noticed that two Sinclair C5's were booked into the bicycle section. Only one of them actually turned up. It was painted in the Lotus colours yellow and green and looked quite good. I thought you might like to see it.

What Allegro do you have? I'd love a Vanden Plas :)

Its a series 3 1.5L.

Looks good! You should check out the Italian film Street Law with Franco Nero he drives the Italian version all the way through the film and you get cool incar shots of the quadratic steering wheel. 8)

Thanks for the info I'll see if I can find the film, it sounds interesting.

Yes it is, I always like to see what people have done with theirs to make them look different.

Nice looking C5 in the Lotus colours, My first car was a 3 door Allegro 3 1.3L in the same colour as yours. Brings back some memories of some good fun times :)
Retro Andy.

Yes it's champagne beige, I wasn't sure about the colour at first but it has grown on me.
I've just got it running nicely after rebuilding the distributor and replacing the carb.
