C5 ENTHUSIAST + RESTORER

Hi there can anyone tell me why when connecting a pod and control box as you would do to get your C5 ready ..The pod  lights up as it should when the motor is engaged (first green led.).Then you connect another control box but use the same pod .
Instead of the first green led lighting up (When the motor is engaged ) the second green led  lights up why...????

Karl

sorry Chas, the workings of the pod are still a mystery to me.. :-\

With c5martin retiring we need to find another electronics genius to try and fill his shoes .

Hi Chas,

while i'm not the next C5's electronics genius i do know how a torch works  ;D

i think we need a bit more information,

what was the need for changing the old control box out?
did the C5 run with the new box?

1) was the original faulty?
2) was you just testing a spare?

if 1) was ok, might be that the 'new' box is iffy. if you can, try it out on a working C5.

Hi there Alan thanks for the reply ....both control boxes work on the C5, but the second  box brings up the second  green LED when the C5 runs....(All I'm doing is just testing control boxes/pods)
There must be a way of adjusting the pod ...Think I will have a go at the trim VR1 1K0 ( battery offset /vref) on the pod and see how I go ..THANKS

adjusting the POD to match the errant controller signal is surely the wrong way round to go?

be like letting down the rear left tyre because the rear right tyre has a puncture  ;D

this is a very minor fault and tbh i'd live with it rather than risk messing up the working POD.
