Hi, my wife bought me a C5 for my 30th Birthday on the weekend, but the car battery that came with it seems a bit knackered.  I'm not sure whether to go for a Leisure battery (priced up a 70Ah for £56 locally), or to get an electric wheelchair or mobility scooter battery.  They seem like they might be lighter for a similar capacity, from what little research I have been able to do so far.

Hi there I think like many others a leisure battery is the better option...The mobility battery needs a special charger to charge it up .....

I got talking to a guy at the local hardware store yesterday, who advised me to take a trip to the local breakers yard to get a battery. Apparently the local one to here flogs them all off for £5 each (maybe £10 for a bigger one).

I'm going to go tomorrow and see what they've got. It's worth the gamble (to me) for a tenner if I can get something.
