Restoration project #2 is starting to take shape;

As with the earlier one, I'll run this on a relay with a battery monitor. There's already someone on the waiting list for it  8)

Karl

Now finished, really pleased with how this one turned out  :);

Looks really nice Karl, top job  :)

Plumber suggested a useful mod to the relay set-up;

..if you wire in the lower heat sensor you then incorporate some thermal protection for the motor  8)

So "Bluebird" (pictured) and this 2nd restoration project have both benefitted from his top advice  ;D

Top bodge! (Meant in the most respectful way).

Seeing you do all these restorations is making me look for number 3 even more...

This c5 is being taken along to a prospective buyer on the 28th , I finished it quicker than expected and the guy interested has asked me to wait until he gets back from holiday so he can have first refusal.

The small box on the pod is indeed a battery monitor purchased off Ebay, I'm also playing with a few other monitors to see which works best - and which one I like the look of  :)

Looks good Karl, is mounting the relay on the chassis a good idea ? Might get wet.

The beauty of this set-up is it's simplicity. Even if the relay does get trashed by water ingress, it is a very cheap fix. This is how they were positioned in the examples I saw that came out of the factory, so should be ok.

Dropped this c5 off at Brooklands today to a very happy new owner  8)

It is going to be used as a publicity vehicle and be involved in some "Outreach" charity work , as well as providing some paddock transport at Brooklands events.

Looks like it has a busy life ahead  ;D
