removal of gears / cogs

can anyone advise me as to how to remove the gears/cogs from the end of the armiture?
i have remove the outer case leaving the gears exposed, but i cannot see how to remove them from the end of the motor

Carefully is the first response ! The armature breaks quite easily at that point.

I took mine to a mate at a local garage who used a hydraulic press to ease them off, the sort of thing they use to remove wheel bearings from cars.
