Sad end to a C5 battery

Went to a family BBQ in Hunstanton and took a walk to the seafront. While passing some amusements we noticed some waste-ground with a pile of old batteries heaped together looking worst for wear, amongst them was a white original Sinclair battery calling out to be rescued.  Unfortunately our attempts to rescue it for our Sinclair memorabilia was unsuccessful due to the "temporary land owners" insisting it was going for scrap. If dad would 24v my Goldfinger I could do a drive-by rescue! (lol)

No need for commando raids, there's a stack of original Sinclair batteries in my summerhouse. They're all dead, but I use them to weigh down the gazebo at events held on tarmac !

I'll bring one along to Brooklands for you...but you can clean the slugs and mud off it yourself
