Looks similar (if not better ;) ) condition to my basket case one that I restored and Daz used on the recent M&Ms revisited run.

Keep the pics coming!

Is this one going to be a little different than standard when finished ?

No this is the second of three I brought to restore and sell - there is a project vehicle called 'The Rat' which is on the back burner hopefully a 24v jobby

Well started to clean up the Chassis for painting yesterday and disaster  >:( noticed the front end had been in some kind of impact as the part that the front folks sit in instead of being slightly angled was completely straight and the metal work crumbled with the elongated hole barely visable. This C5 had no front wheel or steering bar and now it has become clear why. I was thinking a replacement chassis was required but decided with nothing to loose I would have a go at fixing it.
I removed the pressed in bearing housings and knocked in a piece of 30mm round bar through the steering housing to retain it's shape. I then heated up the chassis until glowing and gently knocked the bar until the correct angle was achieved. To my surprise it returned to it's correct position removing the crumble very easily.Unfortunately I did not take any before photo's but I am very pleased with the end result and a completely fine saved chassis. Just need's painting up now.
