Hi brave C5 drivers!
I have been hanging around a lot in Your great forum picking up informations so now it's time to say hello officially. My name is Manfred (better: Mannix), I am living in Munich and got the chance to get two C5 from a barn. They are good fun and everybody is looking because they are very rare here in Germany. At the moment I am thinking of making the one C5 a bit faster and/or reliable. The other one has troubles with the carbon brushes of the engine - I want to swap the engine parts - but that's something for the technical section I guess...

Cheers,
Mannix

Hi Mannix - good to have you join us. Shame you couldn't get to our recent Zutphen run as we had a couple from Germany there ( say Hi April !).

Hope we get to meet up at a future event.

Hi Mannix,

Welcome to the forum and nice video. Watch out for the rubber mounts on the back of the seat that the poles go through as they are very rare and look like they are about to fall off. It would be nice to see your other C5 aswell. The stripping down of the motor & gear box is quite easy once you do it just follow the various links, I did and now do all mine plus a few spares I have.

regards Lance

Hi and a very warm welcome - you will find all you need on here to strip one down to the nuts and bolts ! Any questions just ask !!!

Mannix007

Yes  the rubber mounts are already gone - should have registered earlier  ::)
And its true - stripping down engine and gearbox are no Problem compared to the powerbox...
Cheers,
Mannix
