Upgrade the front cog?

The C5 is either undergeared for the flats and downhills or it is at times tough for the hills.

What is needed is multi toothed cog at the front, like a racer bike.

The problem is the location of the chain line, this is set in a lot, so a standard bike cog is immposible to fit.

Is there anywa the C5 cog can be adapted, but still peform or is there a manufactured multiteeth front cog available as a replacement to give a ride to be able to take all the terrain in my stride?
