Hi, ive owned my C5 since Christmas, bought new battery for it and has been great...until.... last wkd i changed the rear brake cable and whilst it was on its side sprayed the back right hand wheel with WD40 (it had been squeaking for a while).  Pedalled the c5 up the road and back and was fine + it had fixed said squeeky wheel.  I then put battery in and hooked up..when i tried power all i got was a loud grating noise from what im guessing is the motor.  As this has been fine up until the point i a) sprayed WD40 around that area and b) had it tilted on its side - i wondered if anyone had some suggestions as to what the problem could be? many thanks!

It sounds like you've got WD40 on your drive belt, the grating noise will be it slipping. You should also always pedal from a standing start before using the motor.

Hi check your motor is still sitting on the 'fence' as discussed here :

As Marty says, belt slip (also sounds like a loud buzzing noise)  is easily sorted ;
