I bet it looks great in the summer  :)

How did the wife react to you choosing a C5 as the centrepiece ornament instead of a fountain or statue?  ;)

pso-buzz

Haha. Who in their right mind is gonna prefer a bird bath over a C5!!!

I've managed to get both of mine in the dining room... it's still taking some persuading to get her to lose the dining table and set up a cash register/shop/cafe to charge the public, but hey... it's a work in progress  ::)

pso-buzz

Haha. Just loose the legs on the table and get two more! Would she even notice?

Looking at your profile pic (pso-BUZZ) it looks like your C5 has changed a lot since you bought it ;) ;)

Hello again.

Right this weekend I connected up the horn and the indicators.

What do you think of the wiring. I tried to get it all as neat as possible.

Luke S

Looks a bit neater than mine  ;)

C5 ENTHUSIAST + RESTORER

Hi there it looks great well done ..The only thing what I can see is the motor has been turned round quiet a bit to tighten the belt are you sure it's not to tight or  has it slipped of the lip ...(If the belt is to tight it can damage the motor shaft resulting in it snapping off )
Hope you do not mind my comments they are only here to help ...

Hi Chas

Thank you.  No I don't mind at all, thank you for sharing your knowledge.

I will slacken it off a bit and see if I get the belt slip. I put one of the wider ones on after the original I think was stretched. I might have been a bit heavy handed trying to make are it didn't slip again.

Blimey,  the wiring is a lot neater than mine :o Mine looks like someone dumped a plate of spaghetti in there :p

Hi - if you are still after a battery this is the one I got. Gives me close to 20miles in the summer.

That sounds perfect to me. What a great distance.

Currently on the very rare times I take the 5 out I have been using the original oldham battery which seems to be holding up quite well.

I have been putting it on trickle charge using a c-tek charger. I am hoping over time it will just get better and better.  At some point it's going to fall off its perch so I will look again at batteries.

Thanks.
