I keep coming across the term Cif and/or Jif. I wanted to buy some of this stuff to clean up my C5s, so I went into the IN to find out where I could buy it in Germany. Looking in Wikipedia I found out it's sold under various names varying from country to country, in Germany it's sold under the name Viss.

Low a behold this is the dammed stuff I have sitting in my kitchen. :o :o

Even using CIF, JIF,VISS you still need plenty of that other commodity ,ELBOW GREASE. In other words, its still hard work to clean the C5 bodyshell unfortunately.

#2's shell was well cleaned with lots of elbow gease mixed with scouring powder (Vim),  :D  but scouring powder is very abrasive hence the search for Cif.

@ Chas. Cif is still known as Jif in quite a few countries. The Viss container is identical in shape and colour to the Cif's, even the red i dot has been copied.

I found tesco anti bacterial wipes, then car shampoo, the ciff  then car shampoo again works a treat, mine is super Clean and bright now
