Hi Luke, the red cable loom has 9 wires connected to a 10 way connector.

You will not get a reply from Phil as he has left the C5 forum unfortunately but he left the POD replacement a freeware.

It works!!! :) :) :)

But now the motor dose not work, dose any one know how to get round this problem

Luke S

Also are the lights on the left hand side meant to flash when the c5 is not moving

Dave.76

Hi Luke

Sorry to hear you are having problems. As far as I know, the left hand set of LEDs shouldn't flash when stationary. They certainly don't on my C5. As far as I am aware only the outer set of orange LEDs  on the left hand bank should stay on (not flashing) when the motor is not in use.

Luke S

Year the 2 orange ones on the left hand side don't flash

Luke S

May be it's flashing because the motor wont work. The motor works fine with the other pod but not with this one :-\ :-\

Looks like your new POD is just as broken as your old one.  Have you considered removing the POD and control box and just running your C5 from a relay?  It'll save you all the hassle/cost of dealing with faulty ULA chips.

Luke S

I'll just see if I can get my dad to look at it tonight

radiomarty

Hi Luke- sounds like possibly another duff pod - the offer is still there if you want to stick them in the post to me I will see whats wrong with them for you - just cover the postage (£4 ish) - Marty

Luke S

I'll talk to my dad when he gets home.
Can you swap ULA chips over between 2 pods :-\ :-\

dansretropod

Yeah you can swap them over.  Just be careful to handle them correctly and protect them from static.
