Hi all

I use my C5 quite a lot and I have to take it out through the garden. Some places get quite narrow just enough to get the C5 through but I sometimes for get about the under side of the C5 and it some times scratches the bottom of the C5, would a metal plate do the trick :-\

Metal plate, more weight.
Why not lift the C5 to clear the obstructions.?

An aluminium plate wouldn't really add much weight...  ???

Just the expense, and lowering the ground clearance yet more. I still think that removing the obstruction is the best bet, only Luke has not mentioned what the source of the problem is, is it high, sharp, can it be moved, etc. Or even better, don't forget to aviod the problem.

I should have said that down the end of my garden there is a hole/dip then sticking out from that is a paving slab so I'll see if my dad can fill it in with soil also on a corner of my path is another dip where I have been using my go-kart before I got the C5

somewhere , maybe on the old c5alive forum I think, is a piccie of a c5 where someone has attached some of the thin flat plastic in-fill trim that double glazing firms use . The trim was added to the underside quite discreetly and sort of acts as skids to stop the bottom of the bodyshell suffering damage.

quite clever I thought  :)
