Can the pod be bypassed if so how?

What I have done, I don't know if there any objections to this, but if you take out the resister in the pod R21 it stop sending current to the ULA chip so that is not taking any effect but you still have the lights (that work) on the pod. My C5 has been like this since the end of 2012 and has not done any damage on the C5 and it is still working fine.   ;) ;) ;) ;)
