Battery Level Indicator

I have fixed my Pod, it had several dry joints.  Now its working I have a few questions.

As the battery level indicator slowly loses bars, eventually leaving only one and beeps.  If you switch off the C5 and then back one all the lights are back, but then quickly go out as you drive.

Is this normal behavior ? I'm thinking it is but would like to check.

yep - perfectly normal
