Hi, What is the size of the original C5 Batteries?

Just got my C5 back from storage after 17 years, hooked up a battery pack and it works like new .
I don't have the original batteries no more. My dad got rid of them over the years and I would like to know if someone can tell me what size were the original C5 batteries. W*L*H.

As you can see from the link, the originals were quite small 36ah deep discharge batteries. A smaller version of the leisure batteries you can buy now for caravans etc.

If you want to stick with the original keyswitch set-up, and want to use a cheaper battery, the closest alternative battery available now is a type 038. The grey Sinclair battery top just about fits ,leaving one side slightly raised.
I have since heard that type 015 batteries are the same physical size, but more powerful - haven't tried this myself yet so cannot vouch for the claims

Most of us here use one of the c5alive wiring kits enabling us to use whatever 12v battery fits in the allocated space
