C5 Transport

How's about this - a C5 in a C5 







I guessed a c5 would fit in a Citroen C5 estate, but didn't know if one would fit in a Citroen c5 saloon/hatchback.

Fits quite nicely

The Citroen C5 is a nice car, the early ones can be trouble, but the later face lift model and the new C5 are lovely cars.

For cheap a rover 800 fastback (5 door) i fetched my first C5 with my 800, back seats down but no bases out and still a lovely car, get the vitesse then you have 200 hp and a big turbo to boot, scares the boy racers off the lights. I still run an Rover 800 sadly not the 5 door but a far rarer 800 coupe.

Then to a range rover, where the C5 had to sit on the roof (to go to a land rover show of course)

Now vauxhall monterey LWB (isuzu trooper) 2 in the back and 2 on the roof (4 up) is possible, leather seats lots of comfort. Tons of power.

Also have a 1955 austin A30 but i think the C5 is faster than that

Love the Range Rover idea - had a go in one at a corporate "off road" type event. Huge amount of fun 

Rover cars in general are seriously under rated at the moment, our 416Sli was given to us for free and is a superb runabout  .

My mum had a 416 Sli Rover from new in 1996 till last month, never a problem bounced up and down a farm track everyday and still drove like a dream without a squeek till that day an amazing car.. Not many cars would take the abuse that did...

I used to work for rover about 19 years ago, must admit I did really like the metro's and the rover's at the time, the 414 & 416 proved to be fairly good cars.

I have a current model Ford Focus estate which accomodates a C5 with ease, allowing plenty of rearward adjustment on the front seats.
I used to have a Premacy diesel, did 250,000 miles in it from new without having to change anything on the drive train except the routine maintenance of the timing drive. And I was frequently carrying loads up to the payload maximum.

Me and my dad managed to squease a c5 into his vauxhall signum today :-)

Managed to squeeze mine into a Mercedes A Class (my girlfriends I promise!)

But the front wheel had to hang over the folded down back seat into the front passenger area. So only room for C5 and driver (I naughtily sat in the boot cross legged but it wasn't far)

One benefit of this is that it kind of hooked it into place and stopped it rolling around.

Hi I have the same trouble that when I want to trasport mine I have to use the wifes A class and you have to drop all the seats down and the front seat has to be bend forward aswell.

This results in the wife and kids going in my car

I shouldn't complain about the A-Class, my last few cars were much more inappropriate - A BMW Z4 then a Mazda RX8

The RX8 is still for sale if anyone is interested, certainly another interesting vehicle with the Wankel Rotary engine! Bit thirsty though.
