Just been looking on e-bay, there's only one C5 and it didn't look the same one although the pictures are taken near a trampoline ?

Retro Andy

Yep *eats humble pie*

Clearly I shouldn't use the internet with one eye half open!

Looks like i'll bid on that one as well then!

Umpa

Looks as rough as old boots.

You can still clean up a pair of old boots  :)

You have to start somewhere .....  :)

Its good to see these being restored, otherwise they end up down the land fill site.  :-[

Shame that other one on e bay is being stripped,  :'(  probably worth more stripped down, but on the plus side a good source of parts.  8) 8)

Half the fun is the restoration  ;)

Retro Andy

I got my eye on a couple of items for spares.

Retro Andy.

Looks like the old boot has been pulled!

Ah bugger it, if I don't get hold of seller #1 by Sunday i'l just buy that £300 one off giles!

Karl

It's a real shame when Ebay sellers mess you about.

I won a c5 bodyshell and broken chassis off a guy in London last year.

The seller went back to New York and the numpty he left it with refused all contact  ::).

Never did get to collect it  :-[

Just had an email back from the seller. Well, I say an email, it's just 4 words

"sorry i am abroad"

Well, I guess it's like that little britain shop sketch then.. I'll just wait.

MikeDX

Still nothing from this seller!

Just sent another question asking when they are back.

Bought a scenic yesterday, so hopefully when it comes to collecting the C5 it should be all plain sailing!

Karl

That's more than a little frustrating mate !

I hope it works out ok in the end.

Not the easiest start to life with a C5 .

PLOD11

Hi have you paid for it yet or is on collection ???  ???

Does seem a bit strange, perhaps he can't bear to part with it  ;)

Hope it all turns out ok ........

If not then, i am sure another will come along  :)

MikeDX

I havent paid yet, wanted to just hand over cash in person to save him the fees!

Originally he said he was out of the country for a few days, but now its nearly 4 weeks later, and the quality of email correspondence is a little weak :(

ebay c5's seem to have dried up recently.

Oh well, I'll go buy some more arcade games instead! :)

I had a not to dissimilar problem a few years back.  I can recall that there's a service where you can request the seller's phone number if they fail to contact you or reply to your emails.

Try it.  You never know!

I think they changed that in favour of this "resolution centre" rubbish.

In a way the seller is doing me a favour, as I've been given more time to get prepared!

If we havent achieved a resolution by end of march i will just neg and report to ebay for being useless.
