For anyone with chrome tailpipes - tried this stuff yesterday and the results were quite amazing with very little effort :

I've always used Autoglym and it gives fantastic results. I will try and dig out some pictures from when I last polished chrome tailpipes.

None of the ones I've polished have gone black after polishing...
