LED Lights
« on: 26, January, 2014 - 20:55:26 »
I replaced my C5's lights with LEDs the other day.
I bought them from here and here.

The white bulb draws about 130mA, and the red about 160mA, although I reduced that to 120mA by removing the canbus resistors, which were completely pointless and just sat there getting hot. I've yet to try the same with the white light.

As you can see, brightness is alright (headlight probably about the same as original, red perhaps a bit brighter) and viewing angle is pretty good too.

Yes, my tail light is held on with sellotape... I still haven't gotten round to buying threaded inserts to fit it properly.
