"polizottesco" Italian 70s police films
« on: 13, January, 2011 - 08:24:30 »
I've started this thread for discussion about "polizottesco" 70's Italian police films. I love Charles Bronson films and old US cop shows/films so polizottesco films are in the same mold. Plus you see lots of Alfas and minis.

On Street Law the main character drives an Austin Allegro  :D

I like watching old British comedy stuff such as "On the Buses" and all those "Carry on" movies...not because of the acting or scripts but because you get to see all the classic cars in the background and some long forgotten company names amongst the shops etc. Then there is the lack of political correctness  ;D. The films have become a type of time capsule for their era.

I'm the same with stuff like The Sweeney, The Profs and Minder. The x-pack Escort on the Minder intro will be worth a fortune now.

I was always a big Knight Rider fan (and still is) also enjoyed watching tv series like the A-Team, Chips, and The Dukes Of Hazzard.

Recently I watched Revolver with Fabio Testi and Oliver Reed, a really good crime thriller. On the extras it said that they told the crew Reed was gonna be there for 6 days longer than he was as they were ready to beat him up on the last day of filming.  ;D

I also tracked down Napoli Violenta with Maurizio Merli and it was just superb!
