How would I go about wiring in a 12V socket?
« on: 27, October, 2011 - 20:52:15 »
Hi all,

I'm probably going to use my C5 a lot for things like school, going out & general driving to the shops etc. I am 13 so when it starts getting warmer its kind of going to be my daily driver.

I would probably want one out of sight like behind the battery and preferably loose so I don't have to cut into the body and it would look neat with just a wire running to behind the battery from whatever I've got plugged in. I'm just not sure as to how I would go about wiring it in?

I have added a 12volts cigar socket to mine.

I drilled a whole and fitted it.

If you dont want to drill a hole, you could run one of those exstention cigar sockets from the Control box, (where the battery connects) with a couple of in line fuses in case of any mishaps.

Yep, the centre of the Plug end is the positive side if you want to use one of these.
