METAL GEARBOX INSERT
« on: 29, September, 2011 - 10:43:46 »
Hi all just had the gearbox inserts finished ..

The body is made aluminum and the tooth  sprocket  is steel (will never wear out ).But it could be removed and a cog fitted in it's place if that is what you wanted ...

I have the same gearbox fitted to my 24 volt c5 and it works OK no problem.
But i do not drive it full on .
so there is no  guarantee on the gearbox or your motor  as it is the way you use it that counts ....

So... are these good for increasing reliability?

Are they worth getting on a 12v?
Are they easy to fit for a dunce like me?
How much?
What's the meaning of life?

  :D

Hi there drive pulley on the new gearbox has the same amount of teeth as the original and the belt will fit as normal ..
Regarding fitting..It can be easy but you must know what you are doing with it..
But  it's not for a beginner

I am at the moment I'm making some Gearbox pullers which will make it easy and safer to dismantle the gearbox .
Will post post photos when they are made ....
