No motor load indication and cut-off after few minutes
« on: 17, February, 2011 - 13:24:28 »
I tested my beloved C5 after long restore, and definitely i love it (and my neighbors too) !  ::)

I have a pair of malfunctions:

1) the left gauge (motor load) lights only the first+last LED and only the first (green) LED when motor is running
2) even if the battery is new, the right gauge decreases very quickly and after 2-3 minutes beeps and cut off the motor. But if i cycle the power (off/on) the gauge get full and i can run for another 2 minutes.

For the first problem, can be useful proceed with these checks: http://c5alive.co.uk/forum/index.php?topic=1320.msg10300#msg10300 ?

About the second problem ? Is this thread afferent http://c5alive.co.uk/forum/index.php?topic=1345.0 ?

Other suggestions ?  :-\

Hi. I had the very same problem as #2. It was down to the small brown wire in the control box, the X? The contact on the battery switch had corrosion on it. when I cleaned it off and reconnected all was good. hope its just the same as mine. :-\ I got this from a thread by a C5 Martin, he was spot on.

Thank you for suggestion.

I serviced all electric connection of my C5, i replaced all corroded terminals so now everythinsg seems to ge ok.

Perhaps there is a problem on some electronic component ...

I removed the original ULA and installed the Phil's micorprocessor module (http://c5alive.co.uk/forum/index.php?topic=1636.0).
Now all POD functions are finally correct.  :)
