I guess it's easy for me to forget how quickly membership rotates on this forum and how much knowledge gets lost along the line. A brief history ,some areas glossed over for brevity, to bring everyone up to speed.
C5Martin set up his own website, called c5martin
, before c5alive was originally set up by a nice guy called Chris Gavin-Egan (who also appeared on the telly).
Chris then sold C5alive to a guy called Mark , who then sold it on to me.
When I took over c5alive it had its problems (this bit glossed over) , but c5Martin lived nearby and we took the decision to effectively merge the websites. The c5martin tech section is basically taken from his website . With Martins help c5alive gradually got back on its feet and ,despite the best efforts of a certain individual (this bit glossed over), I think this incarnation of c5alive can be called a success
.
C5Martin has since become involved in Kit Cars and is exploring that hobby. I'm still in contact with him and he continues to help me with any c5 queries when I ask.
Once C5Martin moved on I needed someone to help out with the electrical stuff that Martin used to sort. Step forward Radiomarty who continues to help out to this day.
During all this activity I managed to mend some bridges with Adam Harper of Sinclair Vehicles . He didn't really get on with Chris and Mark when they ran c5alive, but he seemed ok with us. Sadly he has since taken time out and I'm not sure if he will be returning to the world of C5's.
I think that sort of sums it all up ? Apologies to anyone missed out...I did say it would be brief with bits glossed over
