The dvd's should be a free download Karl, to be fair its not like buying parts for a C5. I would love to attend loads of meets but wont buy a dvd of them.
Perhaps upload them to youtube - they dont need to be a pro production.
If anyone wants to film one of the c5alive meetings themselves and load it onto "you tube" etc ,then that would be really fab. No-one would have a problem with that being free.
The filming of the Brooklands '08 meeting was different though, as the DVD was professionally done for what was expected to be a big event for us. The idea was that those attending might want a properly made memento of what turned out to be a superb day. Given that David used his own vehicle, fuel ,time and equipment - not just on the day but in editing as well - combined with the supply of DVD's, cases and production costs I'm sure you'll agree it's a bit much to expect something of such high quality for free...
I totally accept no-one asked us to arrange it, so yes it was a bit of a gamble. But understandably I now have limited enthusiasm for sorting out the filming of any of our future events when there clearly isn't the demand to justify it. Not a whinge, or a rant, just being practical and identifying it's something we tried that didn't work out as well as expected.
