Hi again,
Thanks for responses to last post. I intend to go for a leisure battery with a decent ah and if i can fit the original ignition its a bonus but not a pre-requisite!
I have started to strip one of my c5's naked and refurb every bit possible. The chassis is almost off but is still attached to the body by the pedals.I have removed the 2 nuts connecting the pedal arms to the crank/bottom bracket but the pedal arms still dont detach. Is there something else i need to do to remove them or they just need a good whack???
thanks
Nick

Hi Nick - you will need a crank removal tool to remove the arms. You can get them from your local bike shop or Halfords etc.

Hi Chas
Thats a really kind offer i will try and get one first but may take your offer up if i struggle.
Is it just a standard size tool?
i am probably wrong but think they used to be pretty universal fitting and only more recently has a variety of sizes become available.
