new or old wiring???
« on: 03, August, 2010 - 19:47:54 »
So my c5 is now semi operational...pedal only. What begun as a buy to sell item has now turned into a great project...i can't keep the kids out of it!!
well, ive now got a decision to make...do i keep the old wiring or go for new?
I dont have a battery or battery top, just a key box on either side and they look corroded. The control box looks clean.
So do i try and clean and service these parts or start from scratch with new wiring and new battery.
Advice welcome...

Without a battery top it would be trickier to use the keyswitch. It does have the advantage of the battery isolation button though. If you can get a battery top it is then easy to use a type 049 45Ah battery which can be found quite cheaply.
