http://i1139.photobucket.com/albums/n559/jockywilson11/IMG_0577.jpgAfter getting the polarity wrong on my battery I got a repaired Control box and safety cable from C5 Martin, so I'm now back on the road, but the switch was a bit of a puzzler to know where to put it. So I decided that it would be cool to fit an ignition switch to the old girl on a small dashboard.
It's made from 2mm plywood and is covered with a nice carbon fibre patterned sticky back plastic. As well as that I fitted a marine/motorcycle type 12v Socket an wired that back to the battery with a 10A fuse and an isolator switch for it.
I wired up my battery charger with another 12V socket so I can now charge up the C5 via the socket without hauling the battery in and out. Can also plug in the solar trickle charger this way quite successfully.
So now it turns on like a car, and charges like a pro. Time to go and get some leds as warning lights for the indicators and lights..............
Oh and I use my phone's gps as a speedo... I can power that off the battery too via a usb adaptor now -:-)
Enjoy.
