I've also sent this out as a newsletter to include those that don't frequent the c5alive forum ;
Now that we are close to the end of another busy year for C5alive, we would like to say thank you for all your support in what we do.
This year has seen us take part in a variety of meetings and events that include our usual road trips and static car show type displays, but for the first time we have also tried out a couple of track based events. For those that don’t frequent the c5alive forum too often, here is a link to an index of everything we were involved in this year (complete with links to pictures and video clips);
http://c5alive.co.uk/forum/index.php?topic=719.0Highlights for 2010 include the “C5-25” event at Brooklands where we celebrated the 25th Anniversary of the launch of the C5, the Alternative Energy Racing event at Santa Pod, the MGFest at the National Motor Museum, the M&M Milton Keynes run and the Vintage Cycle event at Brooklands which again included use of the Mercedes Benz World test track but also saw us parade 25 Sinclair C5’s.
We also enjoyed some good media interest this year and appeared in the May edition of Sports and Classic Car magazine, as well as a couple of radio interviews and a very brief appearance on Wallace and Gromit’s “World of Inventions”. We’re also due to appear in January 2011 on “OldGoldTech.com” as part of a feature on the Sinclair C5,shot on location at Brooklands Museum.
None of this would have been half as much fun, or as successful, if it hadn’t been for the support of all those that attended the various events - your participation is very much appreciated.
Next year’s events are already starting to take shape, with another “first” being the introduction of an International c5alive meeting to be held in The Netherlands in July 2011. Full details can be found in the c5alive forum. This has the potential to be the largest and most exciting event we’ve ever held but, as always, you need to be there to enjoy the fun so if you’d like to attend please put your name down so we can get an idea of the numbers attending.
Hope you all enjoy a very Happy Christmas and we look forward to meeting up again in the New Year.
Very Best Wishes,
Karl & Angie
