Online Power measurment system
« on: 28, March, 2012 - 16:44:54 »
Hello to ALL,

I have there a idea to measure the power of our C5 and I have found this:

http://www.skyrc.com/index.php?route=product/product&path=24&product_id=46

This is very small and can also saw maximum loads  and there is possible to connect a tempter-Sensor to the motor too .

I think the value of 50A and 60 V (3000W) for continues and 100A by 60V for maximum loads are enough for our Motor/Battery or?

Have anyone experiences with Power measurements on the C%?

Best regards.

Thorsten

Hi Nice find but it does not advise if it is for AC or DC or both.

It probable uses a hall effect sensor.

Thats a Lipo battery monitoring system for R/C planes. Reading the manual it seams it would work for the c5!

Hello its about 25€ here:

http://www.modellhobby.de/Electronic/Various-electronic-smart-guard-etc-/DYMOND-WATTMETER.htm?shop=k_staufenb_e&SessionId=&a=article&ProdNr=0319166&t=9&c=19&p=19
The good things are small, light, can handle 50A and 60V continues and store the max values also there is a temperature sensor for the motor possible.
Easy handling with 1 Botton.

Best regards.

Or you can use this one.
It is from a scootmobile and gives information about, mileage, day mileage, temperature, times the battery has been reloaded, times the battery has been dead empty, estimated milage with actual battery charge, actual voltage and amperage of battery.
Directly left off the display is a vertical battery powerbar with 10 LED stripes, works like the original pod.
It also displays error warnings about the engine, brakes, cruise control and automated speed limitation in corners.
Just to make this story complete, this C5 has the engine and control management system from this scoot mobile as well.
for more info about the making of this C5, i have to give the credits to the one that deserves it. Quasimodo. http://www.sinclair-c5.blogspot.com/
