Well it wasn't me, but I did have fun in the snow last year in a very similiar way  ;D

First pedal ride in mine Wednesday evening, down a slight slope on my property, discovered that the brand new brakes, carefully adjusted, are almost non-existent. I know they are bedding in, but they would be lethal under electric power. This means that I cannot even test the thing further down my drive, where the slope is greater for fear of running  into the road , which is a first gear hill with a highbanked stream at the bottom if I should run right through my neighbour's garden. I think I will wear leather palmed gardening gloves in future in order to use my palms on the road as emergency brakes

Which brake are you using mate?  Back brake is best for going downhill I find, unless you want to cook the front one and blow out your front tyre like I did!   :o

I'm no specialist, but that's what I'd do.

Thats why I fitted steel front wheels to Voodoo and Moneypit  8) great in the dry but still scary going downhill in the rain though...feels like you have no brakes at all  :o
