The bad bit : it needs a new turbo (can email a scan of the M-Benz report if wanted). The car still starts, drives (very slowly!) and goes through all its gears.
This would make an ideal repair project for any budding Mike Brewer "Wheeler Dealer" types with an Ed China in the garage that can do the spanner work cheaply. Reconditioned turbos and even repair kits for the existing turbo are out there but we've already got a replacement car so we're selling this on.
