** sold ** C5 for sale
« on: 15, July, 2010 - 18:28:31 »
Hello all.  It's with my deepest regret, that I have to inform you that I have to sell my C5.  Something's happened which has meant I need to raise some fast cash, and as it breaks my heart to say it, but this is something which I can turn into cash.

So, if you see it on ebay (seller mike7201), that'll be me.

Perhaps if it's ok, I would like to stay part of the forum?  Maybe one day I'll be lucky enough to own a C5 again.  However, I want to say to everyone, that I am incredibly grateful for the help and support you've given me over the last year.  It's been amazing fun.  Never thought I could smile so widely!

I didn't realise I'd feel so disappointed with myself for selling a C5, but there we have it.

Cheers,

Mike

Sorry to hear that Mike - hope you get a good price for it and I'm sure you'll be back amongst the C5 owners very soon... once you've got the bug...

Like Marty says , sad to see you selling the c5 mate - but no need to leave the forum  ;)

Why not place an advert on this forum , its free and at least you know it will go to someone who will take care of it  :)

Why didn't I think of that?  That's the first place I looked when I wanted a C5!

Ok...  Have done.

Cheers,

Mike

In the photo's it looks like the pod is missing, or at least one of its mounting pins - do you need a spare one ?

So it does.  Well, rest assured though, it's definitely there.  The pod fixings are mixed, and just how I purchased it.  One is white, and the other is black.

I don't think I need anything at present thanks, unless you think I do?

Cheers,

Mike

Well, the auction has ended.  What a waste of time that was.  The winning bidder is in Canada, and doesn't pay - so what now?

Sadly you just join the list of ebay sellers who get stuffed by ebay. :(

Offer it to the next highest bidder?

Mike, these pillocks really get on my nerves when they do this. Why bother?
Quickly make a '2nd chance offer' to the 2nd highest bidder - you'll see how to do this in 'myebay'.  He then should accept it and you'll get £390 for it, I think.

Secondly, file a 'non paying bidder' report on the first sale. This will make ebay give you a refund on their sales fees - which will be a few quid on £400.

Sorry to hear you've been messed about mate - I had a similar nightmare trying to sell the miniEl. Reporting the non-paying "winner" does at least give you the final valuation fee back, but you still lose out on the listing fee and it has no impact on the idiots rating  :-X

Have you considered a free advert in the classic car weekly ? I had no problems at all wit them, and a very healthy response to the miniel advert.

Plus it is obviously much cheaper than Ebay .......

Thanks mate, I may try that option, but I need to wait for a reply from the second chance bid option that I've offered to a previous bidder first.

Cheers,

Mike
