Sinclair C5 SOLD
« on: 25, September, 2010 - 15:31:06 »
Sat in the garage for nearly 20 years.  I finally had to get my old C5 out today as we are moving house and we don't have space for it where we are going.

Not in bad condtion but could do with some tender love and care.  Front wheel bearing has gone (We have a spare one but have not fitted it!) it has flat tires and a few scratches.  See photos for full condition.  It has sat in my garage for 20 years.

My name is Alan Donegan and I currently live near Hook in Hampshire.  If you want to come and have a look or ask me any questions just give me a call.  I am happy to show you it.

I want to find a good home for it, we had great times on it when were younger!

We still have the Owners manual for it and a spare inner tube.

Give me a call or email me for further information Alan@enjoypresenting.co.uk or 07881 815 954

Hi this is Jim, we spoke yesterday regarding viewing your C5. If you get time please could you upload a photo inside the back with the boot removed. That gives a good indication as to the condition as well as showing what colour gearbox and fingers are fitted. As for your price of £250 I think a project would only be worth that if it was fitted with a few accessories like mirrors indicators mast or seat cushion etc. what do others think?

Bit like the debate about Marc's chain tensioner - something is only ever worth what a person is prepared to pay for it .

Being in good condition and with accessories fitted will always add to the value ,whereas missing or damaged components and not being able to see it running will always reduce it.

It looks like the front wheel cover is missing which will effect the valve, but if you already own three C5's only you can be the judge of what you are happy to spend.

The front wheel cover is still with it, just not attached to it.  We have it seperatly. There are no accessories, it is as new. I will get it ou today and take a photo of the internal working for you.

Cheers andy, i now have four c5's but I'm rubbish at judging their value as I only take any notice when there is one for sale locally.
Think it was a fair price and I'm happy as its the only one I've had that has come with working electrics so should be an easier project!

Now for sale again, repaired, cleaned, serviced. stuck it on ebay for 99p which may have been a risky move! http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/SINCLAIR-C5-Fully-Working-fantastic-original-condition-/290485051677?pt=UK_Bikes_GL&hash=item43a242211d
