Coolest thing ever seen on streetview
« on: 12, July, 2011 - 14:53:30 »
I arrived home the other day to find a google camera car in my road.
http://maps.google.co.uk/maps?rlz=1T4GPEA_enGB294GB295&tbib=2&q=po76xu&um=1&ie=UTF-8&sa=N&hl=en&tab=wl
If you follow the link and keep clicking zoom down to streetview it takes you to a great pic of the c5! Also up the drive is my less cool quite retro, recently restored 1988 xr4x4.

So as well as having mini in your username, you've got a C5 and an Xr4x4 ..... sounds familiar  ;D

I had one of those xr's, on an 88 (2.8 collogne ) . Later then bought a 91 model 2.9 efi . 3 years in restoration with a little tweak and got it to 236 bhp ( wasnt cheap ! ). 18mpg  :( , But I get smiles per gallon instead  ;D ;D ;D ;D ;D ;D ;D ;D Am on the old side now but still have me fun at light in it.

This is one of my toys, probably spent more time playing on my C5 though.

I've got a 1987 Mk1 Xr4x4 ( 2.8 ) in white.
A bit tatty around the edges, but the aim is to do bits as and when the pennies allow.

And as those that went on the Royal run know, if you put the back seat down, you can fit a C5 in the back  ;D

I did wait around a bit to make sure I was on camera, and I'm in about 3 different pics as you zoom around my road! I thought some of you may be intersted in my other 80's icon, glad its not just me that loves sierras :)
The link is to my Sierra restoration pics if anyone interested. I'm reasonably experienced at it having done this one, now working on a turbo technics project.
