Topic: Rear right Hub cap question

Hi all
Fitted up my new drive shaft, wheel and bearings and just have a question about the hub cap.

I have bolted on the wheel and screwed on the bearing bit, so the wheel spins nicely. Now, i think im meant to put on the big hub cap, then the large flat washer then the locking nut.

But when i do this and tighten the locknut, it tightens the inner bearing bit and starts to lockup the wheel.I see theres a flat spanner bit on this 'bearing bit' onbviously to hold it in place when you do up the locking nut.

the cap is also loose and wiggles a bit.

Whats the order of putting it back together?  am i missing something,   Many thanks, poze

Sounds like you're on the right track and pretty close.

Just to re-cap;

The large plastic wheel trim is held in place by the big flat washer.

Fit the wheel trim to the wheel, then the washer, then the bearing cup.

With the nearside bearings already in place, slide the wheel assembly over the axle, add your offside bearings, bearing collar and wheel nut.

Tighten and hold the bearing collar in place with the proper tool from the toolkit whilst you tighten the nut.

The wheel trim should fit securely , and not move about.
