Motor not running every time
« on: 23, September, 2014 - 13:52:08 »
Guys
My motor has been running for months ok but recently does not run at times. These times the relay clicks when the motor button is pressed. Thinking it was the relay I changed this but this made no difference.
At the same time the relay clicks the extreme left green LED on the POD lights up when the button is pressed.
I have pulled gently on both bushes copper braid and they are free to pull and spring back.
At other times the motor runs normally.
Any suggestions please?

Hi ray you may find that the brushers are worn out but you will only find out when you take it apart  but be carful not to brake any of the fingers off .But you could do a quick check bye lifting the c5 of the ground and get someone to press the start button whilst you check the voltage of the motor brushers ...
Bye Chas

Thanks Chas
I will strip the motor & check the brushes. I will be careful of the gearbox fingers, I did remove it when I first got the C5 to grease the gearbox.
