I bet it would be possible for a manufacturer to pump these out for less than £100 (perhaps excludind the batteries). They're so simple but fun - I recon they'd sell loads.

I wonder how strong the patents are...

Here for 8 months on a fixed term contract working for that cool Outdoors and Alpine sports brand "Mountain Equipment" check them out.

Living up in Broadbottom above Hyde Almost in the Derbyshire hills.

So I've left my C5 in Rotherhithe for the winter but plan to get down for some weekends to take it out of course.

Be good to see your collection sometime.

Just Wow. If I look how much attention I get in my C5, it must be staggering to drive one of these.
What is the top speed of this "thingy"?
Maybe you could build a C5 body around it?

This only does about 12mph , but with my lardy body to hail about I think maybe a bit less 

The down side of no pedals (where would you fit them ?) is that when the battery gives out you can't pedal home...and it is a bit heavy to carry or push  !
