weeding the membership database
« on: 04, February, 2010 - 17:32:37 »
Just for info I've been weeding the c5alive forum membership database.

There were a few user-id's on there that hadn't been used for over 500 days, so I've deleted those that I've considered to be "inactive". I'll probably do the same every six months or so to keep the database manageable.

If anyone has been taken off that wants to remain a member they can always rejoin  ;)

hi karl,
many visitors may be members who do not post or log in but do browse, experience from other forums there is  often a core of people who like to read but not comment, either shy or don't want to look a buffoon whatever.

i don't know if the board software would support it, but say if after 6 months with no activity an email is sent, they must then log on within a month or get deleted.
