I know A lot of people might not aggree But I think LIFEPO4's are a serious other option, If you get them direct from china they are quite cheap for what you get, They are about 2/3rds lighter and you will get about another 600 cycles out of them if you had a 12v one made up It would be really light and not that much more if your paying £80-90 for a lead acid, worth a thought maybe ?

sounds a fair point to me, i tink people will gauge it against how much use they get from their C5, i'd say wel worth it for those who tootle to work on theirs for instance.

personally, always being 'time poor' due to having 5 grandkids and running a small business, i'll be lucky if i get to ride mine more than a dozen times in the summer, i've only rode once since buying it in October 09 so far  :(.

a looked after low usage leisure battery will last usefully about 4 - 6 years, i'm curious what sort of 'shelf life' do the lipo's will likely have?
